Hebog Environmental’s staff
have over 15 years proven commercial experience in the management,
planning and operation of marine environmental contracts including
all aspects of land-based and
boat-based field sampling in UK coastal waters as well as laboratory
processing of biological samples, desk studies, statistical analysis
and interpretation of data.
We have participated in a large number of projects
for a diverse range of clients
including water companies, the Environment Agency, the Countryside
Council for Wales, CEFAS, civil engineering firms, off-shore survey
companies and other consultancies throughout the UK and abroad.
Geographically, our experience ranges from the Northern North
Sea to the English Channel, to the west coast of Ireland and the
Persian Gulf.
Hebog Environmental are long-term participants in
the National Marine Biological AQC Scheme (NMBAQCS) – part
of the EU’s BEQUALM programme. This is an internationally
recognized quality scheme dealing specifically with benthic macrofaunal
identification and particle size analysis. This demonstrates our
commitment to providing a high quality of service to our customers,
and to continual improvement of those services
at every opportunity. All of our staff have a minimum of a BSc
qualification in environmental or marine sciences.
In addition to our in-house capabilities, we retain
the services of a number of experienced scientists and have strong
links to other companies who offer complementary services, from
phytoplankton identification and marine microbiology to marine
mammal observation, commercial and recreational fisheries assessments,
scientific diving and ecological surveys and taxonomy of deep-water
hydrothermal vent systems. This means that Hebog Environmental
can provide a range of integrated services tailored to your requirements
and incorporating one or several of these disciplines.
