CIC (Consortium of International
Consultants LLC)
Laboratory identification of benthic fauna in intertidal,
subtidal and epibenthic trawl samples, collected quarterly from
Kuwait, as part of a four year programme for monitoring and assessment
of the environmental consequences of Iraqi aggression in Kuwait.
This work also included working up material from an intensive
intertidal survey of Bubyan Island comprising over 900 samples
over a 6 month period.
Milford Haven Port Authority
Three year project to determine the effects of routine maintenance
dredging on macrofaunal communities adjacent to the Texaco and
Petroplus jetties in the Milford Haven estuary, involving regular
boat-based grab sampling, sediment plume tracking and identification
of macrofaunal samples with full statistical analysis of data
and interpretative reporting.
RSK Environment
Planned and carried out intertidal and subtidal fieldwork in the
Medway estuary as part of a pre-development baseline survey of
macrofaunal communities on the Isle of Grain. Intertidal core
sampling was carried out using hovercraft with boat-based grab
sampling for subtidal samples. Physical and chemical samples were
also taken. Reporting included identification of macrofaunal samples
with full statistical analysis of biological, chemical and physical
data and interpretative reporting.
Gardline Environmental
Regular, on-going laboratory analysis of macrofaunal samples from
throughout the North Sea relating to Oil and Gas industry activities.
In the past we have also analysed large numbers of benthic samples
for Gardline, collected for the purposes of routinely monitoring
the impact of fish farms in a number of Scottish sea lochs.
