Hebog undertakes independent third-party technical studies to assist with hull fouling disputes.  These situations generally arise when a company has chartered a ship which has become fouled during this period. Due to worldwide movement of ships, each sample has to be thoroughly researched to determine the origin of the fouling organisms.

Samples of the fouling organisms from the ship’s hull are sent to our laboratory along with the ship’s logs. Specimens are then identified and a technical report outlining species found, ecology and likely origin is provided.

We have experience in identifying specimens from various locations; the majority of which tend to be sub-tropical or tropical.
